It is unfortunate to hear these things because we all know that a “believer” in faith healing will seldom if ever change their faith to accommodate the facts. If there is any bright side to these beliefs it is fully realized in the loss of the believer’s life instead of that of a child who becomes victim to these beliefs.
In this case, however, it is not clear if modern medicine could have saved Joe Daugherty since the illness was cancer. But I suppose his god would have been able to cure cancer, but for some reason failed to grant such a healing.
I guess there is no accounting for Karma.

As an aside, one Junker Jorge mentions seven “Dead Faith Preachers” that were all sick from something, just didn’t let anyone know.
